Adesoji Solanke leads Absa Group’s FinTech investment banking origination efforts out of London. He has 16+ years of experience leading teams in fintech and banks research, as well as fintech venture investments. He’s also experienced in driving new business initiatives, including the tech private markets strategy rollout for a multinational investment bank in emerging markets. In 2021, he crafted the equity story for the largest-ever fintech IPO in Africa and Egypt, leading the global investor education and valuation exercise.
A first-class graduate of Economics, Soji completed his MBA at London Business School (LBS) as a Mo Ibrahim scholar – a full tuition award given to one exceptional and high-potential African candidate. At LBS, he excelled at stock picking, winning the stock pitch competition, as well as the pre-eminent LBS award for Value Investing – the ‘Silver-Bull’ award. He is also a three-time winner of the Financial Mail Top Analyst Award as the no.1 equity analyst in Africa (ex-SA).
