Francis Tay
Francis Tay is an investment professional with over 10 years combined experience as an investment banker, venture operator and venture capitalist. He currently serves as an investment manager at Founders Factory Africa, where he focuses on strategic investments in innovative tech startups across the continent, alongside providing fundraising support to portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Founders Factory Africa, Francis was the Head of Innovation at BIMA (a leading global insurtech dedicated to delivering affordable micro-insurance and m-health products to underserved populations) where he led innovation on products & tech and supported business model strategy. Francis is also a former investment banker with experience working on M&A and capital raising deals for corporates across Sub-Saharan Africa.
He’s passionate about tech solutions that unlock transformative potential in the African region at scale. Francis has a BSc. in Actuarial Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a PGDip. in Strategy and Innovation from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
