Mark Akakpo

Investment Banking Associate, Absa

Mark is an investment banker, who is spearheading Absa’s Investment banking division Africa tech advisory strategy.

He has previously worked on complex M&A transactions on the continent and leveraged finance transactions in South Africa. prior to Absa, Mark worked at Sasol as a Control Systems engineer. In 2017 he was part of the cohort at MIT Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. He holds a BEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria, and a Certificate in New Venture Leadership From MIT Sloan School of Management.
